Combustion opens Saturday with 22 beers, ciders on tap

Combustion opens its doors in Clintonville this weekend, welcoming patrons to the former home of Lineage Brewing at 2971 N. High St.

Customers can expect to enjoy a wide variety of fresh craft beer and cider all made by Combustion. Doors open at 11 a.m. Aug. 13, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony planned with the Clintonville Area Business Association at 11:30 a.m.

“It’s been great getting acquainted with members of the Clintonville Area Business Association, meeting members of the community and participating in Third Thursdays with the CRC while we prepare for our opening in Clintonville,” said co-owner Sarah Jackson.

She and husband Keith, the brewmaster, lived in Clintonville for several years before they moved east as they opened their first Combustion location in Pickerington. So, this long-awaited opening is a homecoming for the Jacksons and many of their former neighbors.

“Fresh, Balanced, Drinkable is our mantra” said Keith Jackson. “We are ecstatic to open the doors of our second location … Providing the freshest and highest quality craft beer and cider to the Clintonville and surrounding communities is something we’ve been working toward the past few months, and we can’t wait to celebrate with everyone.”

A huge list of 22 Combustion creations will be on tap to start, including a Clintonville-inspired Kangaroo Crossing beer named for the iconic sign on Clinton Heights Boulevard outside of Clinton Elementary School.

The Clintonville Taproom will maintain a wide variety of beer and cider on tap as well as 16-ounce 4-pack cans, 32-ounce crowler cans, and 64-ounce growlers of specialty beers to-go.

In support of neighboring businesses, customers will be able to order food from local restaurants right from their table in the Taproom. Light snacks will be available at the bar.
